New Year, New Melody

This is my entry for the contest by Seeds Academy on IG.

Version 1: Morning Colors

Version 2: Sunset / Sunrise Colors

One particular great memory I feel like I can express through painting was the moment I decided to buy a digital piano. The last time I touched a keyboard was about a decade ago - for personal reasons I had no access to any musical instrument for that long, so I was worried that I'd forgotten how to play.  But turned out it all came back seamlessly, as if there's no gap at all.. albeit the same skill level I've been trained which is still pretty basic, haha!

So at one point I realized that I've been working and working this latest 9-10 years, while oftentimes neglecting personal projects due to lack of time or budget, which makes me question myself, "When will I exactly get to explore music again (as one of my main passions) if I keep going on this way??"

Then I noticed I've been doing pretty well financially these days, there's a little bit of surplus - normally I'd save for basic needs, but this time I decided to take the risk of buying a medium-grade digital foldable piano to reconnect with my passion again because I wouldn't want to spend my whole life just surviving!

It's been about 3 months now owning this and I'm indeed happy with my decision, I've enjoyed so much getting back at it again: jamming and arranging the songs I love on the fly, playing by ear, and playing + singing with it. And apparently I've still got the sight reading skill! I guess thanks to muscle memory.

I've been very grateful for the things and experiences I already have for the latest 10 years of my life (big life changes during these times), and now this humble digital piano represents even a greater hope for me personally for the new year which depicted by the bright sunlight, the clouds, the freedom of the birds flying on my art.

Now, a self-reminder: keep daring to take calculated risks. Life is short, seize the day. Wishing for the better world and everything by 2025!
